The Corner at 13 in Dunn, NC is hosting this class with me!
WHO: Ages 16+ (Perfect for families, couples, friends, and solo learners - all are welcome!) Beginner friendly, no experience needed.
WHEN: Saturday November 7th, from 2 -5pm

COST: $55 per person
INCLUDED: Instruction, clay, ceramic paints, tools, kiln firings, & a coffee OR sweet treat
Come treat yourself to a fun relaxing afternoon at The Corner at 13! Make from scratch AND paint your new favorite TRAVEL mug! In this three hour class, you will learn the process of building pottery by hand with slabs of clay, (we will not be using the pottery wheel).
GLAZING: During the last hour of class you will have the option to add your own hand-painted designs to your mug with ceramic paints. Your mug will then be brought back to my studio for drying and will undergo two kiln firings. I will apply the gloss glaze for you before the final firing. All glazes are non-toxic and lead free. This process will ensure it is dishwasher safe and, with care, you will be able to enjoy your creation for years to come.
TURNAROUND TIME: All finished pieces will be available for pick up at The Corner approximately 6-8 weeks after our class date, with updates provided.
DISCLAIMER: Mishaps can occur in firings and not all practice pieces are guaranteed to make it out of the kiln if instructions are not followed. Inconsistencies in construction or painting can cause cracks or altered appearance in the firing process. However, the goal of this workshop is to learn, try a new experience, and have fun - not just the finished product.
NON-REFUNDABLE: Due to limited offerings and class sizes, class bookings are not refundable. If you cannot attend your class as scheduled please let us know as soon as possible, and you are welcome to resell your ticket. In some cases with enough advance notice we may be able to rebook you on a different course date depending on availability.
