Intro to Pottery: Four-Week Course

Always wanted to try your hand at pottery? Or maybe tried it before and want to learn more? This is a beginner friendly introductory course for all things pottery. You will get one-on-one (2:1 for couples classes) instruction for a basic overview of the pottery process from start to finish. For students with prior experience instruction will be adjusted to match and push your skill level. You will be able to take home 2-3 original pottery pieces, completely handmade and glazed by you. All clay, tools, and materials are provided you need only to bring yourself and an open mind to make it a great experience!

Invest in some quality time to unplug and unwind all to yourself, or bring a friend or family member to learn and make some screen-free memories together.

Weekly Schedule:

Week 1: (2-2.5 hours)

Learn throwing on potter’s wheel.

Week 2: (2 hours)

Second wheel class & learn trimming.

Week 3: (2 hours)

Learn surface design & hand-building.

Break for firing time between class 3 & 4.

Week 4: (1.5 hours)

Learn glazing techniques.

Please note:

Pieces will be fired &ready for pick up approximately 8 weeks after 4th class.
